We love seeing varying incarnations of blocks, and Ikos’s plastic puzzle-like pieces (made from 100% recycled & recyclable HDPE), certainly fit the bill for novelty: they don’t look anything like conventional blocks. That’s a good thing because they get kiddos thinking creatively and combat traditional block building fatigue. Each set of Ikos blocks comes with 26 U.S. made identical pieces that fit together to form a perfect sphere. But making the sphere isn’t the end goal; and that’s where your kids’ creativity and natural spatial curiosity comes in! In addition to building the sphere, the pieces fit together in about a gazillion other ways, resulting in sculptural and playful 3D art. Basically, Ikos blocks are like puzzle pieces, but there’s no “right” way to build them, so kids can craft dinosaur eggs, jewelry, bauble holders and more. One mom even turned her Ikos sphere into a bath ball for her little one. The award-winning Ikos blocks come in blue, green, orange, pink, purple, yellow, and red, but we’re digging the Creator pack, which includes a random rainbow assortment of colors. For schools and daycares, there is a ginormous pack of 400 pieces. We would love to see what your kiddos come up with using so many Ikos blocks.
