The gorgeous District Crib from Nurseryworks gives repurposing a whole new meaning. Not only is this amazingly designed crib made with repurposed white oak from an Alabama train depot, but once your baby outgrows the crib, it seamlessly transforms into a beautiful adult-sized desk or may be converted into a daybed. All you have to do to change this crib into a desk is remove one panel and flip the crib over. The District Crib features graceful slender spindles that wrap around the crib, a beautifully thin and lithe aluminum mattress support and a lovely natural finish that preserves the reclaimed oak. This is one crib that will look amazing in any modern home.
The District Crib is custom made-to-order, just for you, and is packed with great features such as non-toxic, zero VOC, natural oil and wax based finish so no worries if your little one chews on this crib. The crib also has two adjustable mattress levels and is made locally in Los Angeles. Safety is of utmost importance at Nurseryworks. Aside from passing the CPSC’s federal safety standards and being JPMA certified, Nurseryworks’ products go through even more strenuous safety criteria, passing both the meticulous Canadian and Japanese safety requirements as well. Plus, the company has their own rigorous quality control programs in place. Nurseryworks is also eco-friendly across the board, using renewable energy, waterless urinals in their office, and implementing a huge recycling program for all cardboard. NOTE: The desk chair and crib mattress are not included with the crib, but Nurseryworks does sell some extremely safe mattresses and we suggest picking up a thrift store chair to save on resources.
