This past weekend, Inhabitots was on the scene at NYC’s first ever Baby Show, a fun event gathering all the best baby toys, clothes, services and gear together under one roof for new parents and parents-to-be! Several green baby brands showcased sustainable goods at the show, and we’re super excited to share our favorites finds with you. Here are our top green finds from The Baby Show NYC!
Looking for a fun, safe and educational gift for your favorite little one? Ms. Brittany, a pre-school teacher who wanted to create a non-toxic playdough for kids when she couldn’t find one for her students, has got you covered with her awesome organic fun dough kit! It comes with three 7 oz containers of dough (natural enough to eat!), a 100% organic toddler apron, a child sized made in the U.S.A. wood rolling pin, and four made in the U.S.A. wooden shape stampers.
Made in the U.S.A. from 100% cotton and repurposed vintage ties, these tiny outfits are a hoot and a half. We love what a sophisticated look they impart to tots and babies – they grow up so fast!
Tane (which means “seed” in Japanese) offers plush hats, cuddly sweaters and adorable booties for your little ones as they embark on their first adventures. Made of luxurious organic cotton and colored with all low-impact dyes, these timeless pieces are sure to become heirlooms that your child can pass along to their own kids.
Every parent knows that the safety and integrity of the bottles they use to feed their babies is of the utmost importance. Dr. Weil offers bottles that are BPA-free, non-toxic and beautifully designed to boot! We especially love their modern glass bottles with their exclusive AirWave™ venting system that is clinically proven to reduce colic.
So many parents at the show were drawn to the Wee Go bottles we had on display at the Inhabitots booth, and it’s no wonder why! Not only are these glass baby bottles fun to look at with their bright colors and pleasing design, they also offer the benefits of glass (they are inert, meaning you never have to worry about BPA like you do with plastic bottles) and they boast the added comfort of a shock-absorbing silicone bumper.
