On Tuesday April 5, 2011, TOMS is calling out across the globe asking people to go One Day Without Shoes to support disadvantaged kids who don’t get the choice. So if you ever reminisce about those wonderful childhood days spent running and dancing barefoot in the park, now is your chance to do it all over again and for a great cause.

It’s a sad fact that every day millions of children around the world grow up without shoes, leaving them exposed to injury, infection and debilitating soil-transmitted diseases. One Day Without Shoes was created to help raise awareness about the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s life. So on April 5, 2011, whether you are in an office, part of a community group, at school or just by yourself,  show your support by kicking off your stilettos, wedges, lace-ups, loafers or sneakers for 30 minutes, an hour or the whole day. And if you buy a pair of shoes from the TOMS store, they will donate a new pair of shoes to a child in need. A One for One promise.
