Innovative Folding nCycle Speeds Towards Futuristic E-Bike Design

This futuristic bike [4] from nCycle [5] combines a stripped-down and streamlined frame with a powerful electric motor to offer a speedy alternative to automotive transportation. The fold-up bicycle [4] has built-in brakes and lights, yet the frame remains thin and lightweight.

One aim of the nCycle concept was to provide a more affordable alternative to the average e-bike [6], which the designers say can be priced from $4,000, making it an unaccessible option for many. The core design is a sturdy structure: the body was built from a pair of metallic sheets attached parallel to each other from which the primary mechanics house electronic and electrical systems. The nCycle’s truly innovative appearance makes it look as though it could easily zoom off into the future.
