If you want to go above and beyond the standard birthday cake, consider following in the footsteps of Alexander Treiber, a man who baked an edible, interactive LED cake for his wife’s birthday. To let the LED lights shine through, Treiber drilled 30 holes in a chocolate cake and filled the spaces with colorless and tasty spiced chai tea and milk-flavored jello. The Arcade Cake, or ArCake for short, was then programmed to say ‘Happy Birthday’ and even operate a Jump-n-Run game that can be played using a Wii controller. You can watch a video of the amazing ArCake in action here.
