Gallery: Israel-Based Solskin Studio Creates Biodegradable Objects From...


Born in a Jewish-Arab village in Israel called Wahat-al-Salam, Ori Sonnenschein is an optimistic young designer who loves experimenting with everyday objects. One of his latest surprising creations is a line of objects called ‘Solskin Peels’ that are made from dried molded orange peels. Solskin means ‘sunshine’ in Danish, and the peels are biodegradable, locally sourced, cheap, water-resistant, and they smell gorgeous.
