Albeit not very powerful, the car can go as fast as 80 km/h
A two-seater beauty with a dazzling yellow shell, the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is the first in Japan to be developed without help from a major car manufacturer. Very low to the ground, the car has a multi-tubular steel frame, a four-part glass fiber reinforced plastic exterior and weighs 720 kg.
With a maximum power output of 20kW x 2, the Brushless DC electric motor isn’t the most powerful one on the market, but the vehicle can reach speeds of up to 80km/h. Once charged, the lithium-ion battery has a range of 200km. The no-fuss interior is surprisingly comfortable. Already licensed to drive on the roads in Japan, this awesome emissions-free car is just one of a series developed by Atsushi Saihara and his students.
