Jeroen Bisscheroux's GINDS Lets You Eavesdrop On Passersby 100 Meters Away
Jeroen Bisscheroux‘s GINDS is an art project that explores the sounds occurring within the borough of Amsterdam Zuid. The project is made up of of a series of double conical horns placed around various places in the neighborhood. To use them, visitors simply stand in between the two horns and they can begin to listen in on what is happening around them up to 100 meters away. The location of the various GINDS are based on the quality of environmental sounds in the area. However, the project is meant to challenge what vistors see versus what they hear.
