Jim and Tori have adapted antiques such as old clocks and binoculars to create a whole flock of decorative songbirds made from
found objects. Each unique bird is handmade in the team's studio in Florida, and the duo follows the forms of 3D bird carvings to give each feathered friend realistic characteristics.
The pair began creating their Songbirds in 2006 and have since transformed a whole range of unexpected relics into these intersting figurative sculptures. Even croquet balls and wheels are given a second life by the team, and are newly manifested as a flighty decoration piece.
Warning potential customers that the pieces are all found, the website notes that each inventive sculpture varies in colour and style as no two are identical, a charming reminder that each piece is repurposed.

How does one purchase one of the birds by Jim and Tori?
Stunning. They could be props from a Tim Burton film or something. Can imagine these in an old episode of Bag Puss. Would look great on my book case.
