The designer, whose work is focused mostly on functionality and the spatial experiences of users, envisioned the Arjan Sauna as a minimalist space that has a small porch overlooking the surrounding landscape. Users can sit in front of the sauna and take in the natural environment. It was commissioned by Sommarnöjen, the leading Scandinavian brand of ecological holiday houses.

Wagell created a whole range of sauna houses according to the Arjan model. Cabin sizes vary between 7.5 square meters and 15 square meters and can either use electricity or be non-electric. Each of the 12 models has different interior solutions and can be designed in a super rustic style or as a more modern sauna.
