Here at Inhabitat we’ve showcased a whole host of artwork made out of books [1],¬†from a rainbow spectrum book sculpture [2] to Cardiff/Miller’s recycled book house [3]. But we love it when artists like Callan give the books a completely unique shape, transforming them into a different artistic material that is almost unrecognizable. Whether you think these sculptures look like the cross-section of a tree trunk or a map of a weather pattern, the organic form challenges the viewer to consider the¬†provenance of materials like books.
