Designed by Kaplan Thompson Architects of Portland, ME, the Harborview Townhomes meet the Architecture 2030 guidelines for limiting carbon emissions while increasing density in an urban environment and maintaining a contemporary, locally-derived character. The highly-insulated 7-unit building sits on a narrow ½-acre lot within walking distance to downtown and employs efficiency features such as optimized sun shading, air-source heat pumps, and energy recovery ventilators.
