Katharine Hamnett has teamed up with supermodel Lily Cole to fight child labour in the fashion industry. “Save the Future” is the slogan written on a limited edition T-shirt designed by Hamnett and modelled by Cole. The vest is part of Hamnett’s “Cotton Campaign”, which not only features an environmentally-aware jewellery range, but also aims to educate people of the humanitarian ills that occur all over the world in the clothing industry.

What is worse between GMO Cotton from developed country and Natural Cotton from child labour ? I’m agree that child labour must be banned but on the other hand, they dont have any work for earning money. It is because the GMO Cotton that your wear are attaching the cotton in many developing and poor country. It leads the pressure on cotton pricing and for sure…the lower wages for the labours. Then more people in the family have to work to earn only for the same amount. It is quite happy to see wear and feel good right? But I’ like to inform you that most of the problem come from misunderstand of western point of view… Anyway, I’m impress on this action and also other movement in environmental issues and hope we will share for more
