We love traditional Japanese architecture, but we like it even more when it's also cutting edge. Kengo Kuma blends the two beautifully, as evidenced by his latest project in Tokyo, the Sunny Hills cake shop. Wrapped in a wooden 3D lattice, this wonderful shop -- famous for their pineapple cake, a popular Taiwanese sweet -- takes inspiration from bamboo baskets.
