DESCRIPTION
As an educational center on the greater Ballona Wetlands ecosystem, the Ballona Institute promotes research, restoration, advocacy and exploration of the wetlands. The area is publicly owned by the State of California, and include subareas in the Ballona Valley, bluffs and highlands. The Ballona Institute is a project of the International Humanities Center charitable trust.
