DESCRIPTION

Made famous by urban-farming and social justice activists as well as the 2008 Academy Award nominated documentary ‘The Garden’, South Central Farmers have stayed together (after losing the largest urban farm in the U.S. to political interests) by forming this Cooperative. The group offers box delivery and produce at farmer’s markets. The organic fruits and veggies come from an 80 acre farm in Bakersfield, CA where many of the farmers have relocated.
