Solar power not only provides hydronic radiant heating to the interior of the home, it also heats the pool. A solar window has been integrated into the laundry room so that clothes can be line dried at optimum efficiency. Exposed concrete floors used throughout the house stay cool during the summer months and are heated from below during the winter months doing double duty as a non-toxic material that is economic and easily cared for. The LeBrun house is an exemplary project in its use of economical materials and the way it combines both living and working spaces while ensuring plenty of breathability by letting the outdoors-in.
