Gallery: Landscape Designer Margie Ruddick Fined for Her Own Garden

 

Landscape designer Margie Ruddick is in the running for the 2011 Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award, and ironically, she’s also faced with fines for the landscaping of her own yard! Ruddick’s ecological ‘Garden of Eden’ was found to be unkempt with “weeds” by authorities in the City of Philadelphia.

    You mean her lawn didn’t look like a golf course? Who would want to live next to a neighbor who’s lawn looked like nature. The world needs to get back to reality

    So, some dumb city employee just wasted hundreds, if not thousands, of Philadelphia’s tax dollars by making her go to court and fight her case. What a waste
