Architect and New Yorker Laurence Tamaccio has come up with an interesting solution to beautify the unsightly stretch of the West Side Highway that spans his neighborhood – blanketing it in a leafy green “Vine Line” . His proposed solution would entail covering one side of the highway with a trellis system that could then be planted with air-cleaning ivy interspersed with sections of dramatic waterfalls . Tamaccio has already created a presentation and petition for the plan, which he thinks could transform an eyesore into a beautiful focal point for the whole community.
