Actor Leonardo DiCaprio was just seen driving his brand-new Fisker Karma luxury range-extended EV, which means the green sports car is finally here! We told you before how DiCaprio had lined up to be the first of 3,000 people to own one of these sold-out luxury EVs, but Fisker had a bit of a wait before getting EPA approval for the Karma. Looks like that wait is over now, and we’re hoping to see more of these babies cruising the streets.

Fisker has a whole line of vehicles in the works, and now that the Karma is on the road, they can turn their attention to rolling out the convertible version of the Karma, a compact EV sports car, and other high-end electric hybrid cars. We can’t wait to see the whole Fisker line. So far Fisker has proved to be one of just a handful of green car start-ups that could make it through the gauntlet of developing a viable road-legal car from the ground up, and we’re expecting a lot more good things from them.

I don’t care what Leonardo really drives, still the waiting list is months long, so is the mark up. It’s a 100,000+ dollar car. If you can afford that, you don’t really care so much about 4 dollar a gallon gas. Leonardo could have bought a 16,000 dollar Chevy Cruze and with the money left over buy enough gas to drive around the world over 20 times.
