Levi’s Launches 2 Million Pairs of Jeans Made With Better Cotton

This week Levi [4]‘s invited Inhabitat to their San Francisco HQ to celebrate their first collection of products made with Better Cotton [5]. The initiative is working with 40,000 farmers to produce cotton using less water and chemicals while raising labor standards and income levels – and 2 million pairs of Levi’s jeans made with Better Cotton [5] are already on store shelves! Since 95% of Levi’s products are made from cotton, this initiative has tremendous potential if they’re able to scale it up – read on for a closer look.
