Liqui Design’s Edge Furniture collection consists of a console table, coffee table, and wall clocks that are covered in a real Oak and Walnut laminated veneer. We first learned of Liqui’s work at ICFF 2014, and we’ve now become huge fans of their quirky designs and dedication to sustainable practices. According to their product descriptions, Liqui sources their materials locally wherever possible and makes the majority of their work by hand in their Brighton, England workshop.
The two Edge Furniture tables are made from lightweight and sturdy cardboard specially cut to leave the interior, corrugated cardboard structure exposed. The flat surfaces are covered in a bright laminated veneer available in a variety of bold and brilliant prints, making the tables an eye-catching statement piece fit for any room of the house. The Edge Cardboard Clocks, on the other hand, reserve its bright pop of colors for the hands of the clock, which can come in neon yellow, orange, pink, or more demure shades of blue. There are two types of clocks available: one laminated in a dark Walnut veneer and the other in a light Oak veneer.
