Dear Inhabitat readers
Hi, my name is Louis Thompson and I built this project in collaboration with Olav Bruin the architect and Jonathon Odet and Pon from Little world who did the cabling system. There is a video on youtube (search treetop dining) which shows a little bit how we built it. We did not use any bolts or screws so rest assured no harm was done to the trees. I am happy to answer any questions or send latest photos to anyone interested. Enjoy. I also designed and built the eco-villa which is the green roof structure on the same site.

Hi my name is Louis Thompson and I built the treetop dining pod with Olav Bruin from 24h who was the architect, Pon and Jo Odet from Little world did the cabling system. We now have photos of the pod in operation, and I made a short video on youtube (search treetop dining)to show how it was built. The pod is built using a system of stainless steel cables that were tensioned and attached to the trees without the use of nails, bolts or screws. An elevator lift makes it go down 8m to the forest floor to collect the guests. I am happy to answer questions about it - louis@sixsenses.com.
