Gallery: Macro Micro Studio: Students to Build UK’s First Net-Zero Live...

Macro Micro Studio is a 50-square-meter (538-square-foot) live-work Passivhaus developed by the University of Dundee’s Macro Micro research unit at the Botanic Gardens in Dundee. The project will be the UK’s first fully net-zero energy live/work studio, and construction is set to run from January-May 2013. The design and technologies will be tested in a real-world situation over a period of four years in order to gain a better understanding of user behavior and technical performance.

Where can I get plans for this studio, and a cost-estimate on construction? Please advise. Thank you!

As people age they tend to look for compact habitats that are relatively cheap and quick to erect. Nobody wants to pay the outrageous sums for utility bills. This sort of abode could really be a hot seller, especially to the retiring generation.
