While some women have been known to paint the soles of their high-heels red in an effort to attain that distinct Louboutin look (without shelling out sizable sums of money), Martha Stewart has admitted partaking in a rather more eccentric Louboutin DIY; she sloshes black paint onto her scarlet-soled kicks. Speaking to InStyle magazine at the American Made Awards, the US queen of craft explained that “I don’t like them red, even though they’re [Louboutin’s] trademark,” but Stewart insists that designer—notoriously protective of his signature color—”doesn’t mind.”
