McBarge: Abandoned Floating McDonalds to Be Given New Life As a Marina in Canada

Once refurbished, the plan is to turn the ship into a home for several restaurants—instead of just one—which would hopefully include some healthier options [2] for visitors. The proposals are already fairly ambitious and even suggest a float plane service, a marina [3], and paddlewheel excursions around the surrounding river.

Although it resembles an old ghost ship [4], the barge has some old industrial beauty to it. Take a look at the gallery of images and imagine how it could look after a new lick of paint (and a lush array of sprouting veg!)
