Australian-German duo Chauntelle Trinh and Eckard Buscher have captured the urban identity of 16 cities from across America, Europe and Asia in an ethereal collection of urban maps intricately cut from paper [4]. Each map is created with a laser cutter that can define details as small as .4 mm – the width of a needle. Trinh and Buscher say: “Metropolitan Cityscapes [5] is an homage to the cities that inspire us. Every city is as unique, and as beautiful, as we are. The city is us.”
