Minale-Maeda has created a brilliant set of “downloadable furniture” designs that can be made to order in a range of sizes and materials, cutting down on the need for stores to transport and keep stock of bulky furnishings. Each item from the Inside Out collection can also be constructed on-location, since users can download the blueprint as a DIY project.

The dutch company have redeveloped a basic pattern by turning the idea inside out and transforming each unit by making structural details such as brackets a feature of the furniture. Take a look at their website for more photos of the solid wooden designs.
