The aptly named Moss House [2] is a beautiful eco-residence that thrives under cloudy skies near the beaches of Northern California. Located south of San Francisco, the house was designed by local architect Elizabeth Vespremi [2] for her son and his family. Conceived and built with lots of loving care, the home features a great array of green building features ranging from water conservation and collection systems to extensive active [3] and passive [4] solar strategies. Other green highlights include the use of recessed LED lighting throughout the home, radiant heated floors [5], raw clay walls, xeriscaping [6], and an electric car charging station.
