Gallery: NASA’s Curiosity Rover Will Have a Brother on Mars by 2020

 

NASA has announced that it is building a successor to the Curiosity rover currently roaming Mars. Building on the success of the ongoing exploratory mission on the red planet, the space agency will essentially replicate the existing rover’s design in order to drive down costs and risk. The new rover is expected to launch in 2020 and Curiosity may well be there to welcome it.

    HI Tafline, You did get a major fact in your article very much incorrect. This rover is FEMALE, not MALE, so in fact, the current MARS ROVER will have a SISTER on mars, not a \\\”Brother\\\” as you stated. Can you please print a retraction or a correction? Thank you so much!
