The National Endowment for the Arts just awarded the Artisan Barn in Washington state an "Our Town" grant as a sign of how important antique barns are to America's cultural and historic record. The funds from this generous grant will allow Hutchison & Maul architecture to establish a masterplan for the historic Dahmen barn - an arts and performance venue run by a non-profit organization in the bucolic Palouse landscape. The plan features a new classroom, which will be built with materials salvaged from an existing loafing shed.

    What a disaster. By placing this new fangled thing right next to the historic structure you have destroyed the integrity of the site.
    where did the beloved wagon wheel fence go?

    Move that new “shed” off 300 to 500 feet.
