If you have dozens of ugly, depressing tax returns filling up your filing cabinet, then these scrawling art pieces might be just the thing you need to see. Nava Lubelski rolls up tax returns, rejection letters, and a variety of other old paperwork that can’t be tossed just yet, and turns them into what looks like paper molecules.
Nava says her art is reminiscent of the rings by which scientists can age a tree. She also likens them to lichens, doilies, or disease, since they grow outward like some organic thing. Being the greenies that we are, we just think it’s an awesome thing to do with wasted paper. And they look cool too!
