And as we do so, it’s worth remembering why it’s always best to create DIY costumes [7] with materials found around the house or in thrift stores [8], and use the innards of those pumpkins to cook delicious seasonal treats [9]. The infographic below shows how much waste is generated each year in the UK while celebrating annual holidays like Easter, Halloween, Valentines Day and Christmas.
