New Report Warns That Spray-Tanning Could Cause Cancer

We know this is bad news for those of you who thought of spray-tanning as a safe alternative to UV exposure [2], but the active chemical used in spray tans, dihydroxyacetone (or DHA), can cause genetic mutation and DNA damage.  A panel of experts from the fields of dermatology, toxicology, and pulmonary medicine told ABC News [3] of the dangers found when tested on cells and non-human organisms.  Click ahead [4] to read more about the disappointing discovery and try to avoid the tanning salon.
