Dorota Januszek, Iza Brola and Honorata Poznanska, the creative trio that make up Dodoplan.com [1], created these exquisite holiday ornaments from locally sourced materials such as straw, tissue and yarn. The band of designers decided to shun the global unification of holiday symbols and rituals, and instead looked to their Polish roots to make ornaments inspired by traditional handicrafts. While the direct inspiration for the delicate decorations [2] was “PAJAKI” (“Spiders”), a Christmas ornament which used to be hung under the ceilings of traditional Polish homes, the designers infused a shot of contemporary design into them to give them a fresh feel.
