We take our fashion seriously here at Inhabitat , always looking for the eco edge that lifts our social and environmental consciousness. Our fresh Inhabitat Roots/Lungs T-shirt is the latest design from the Inhabitat team. With a custom designed graphic and a grounded environmental declaration (“I am the root of the solution”), this tee is making a statement that all of us can get behind. Available in our chic sage on sage color palette, this tee made from 100% US grown organic cotton and hand-printed locally with environmentally-friendly water-based inks. We’ve keep production close to home by using BrooklyNYC to take care of screen-printing this stunning roots/lung design from Jonathan Sabutis . Super soft, super fit and super sustainable, these great tees are available in both men’s and women’s cuts.
Like everything on this bountiful planet, these handmade tees are available in finite numbers so if you want one – don’t wait! Grab yours before they’re gone! You’ll be supporting a sustainable supply chain, and be taking a stylish stand in support of environmentally sound fashion solutions.

To anyone interested ordering, if you are wondering why an organic, locally handmade t-shirt would cost $40, the short answer is non-sweatshop labor and high quality materials. If you still don’t understand, please read the comments in this post >> (Sorry to other readers, but we are tired of having to answer this question over and over again to people who are so used to Walmart/Chinese sweatshop labor that they expect t-shirts to cost $15) Also, this price covers the cost of tax, shipping and handling.
To interested buyers, please note that the color of the screen printed design is INTENTIONALLY similar to the color of the T-shirt, to create a subtle, ‘barely-there’ print that appears bold in certain lights, and hard to see in other lights. This is a design choice, not a mistake, but please expect that the design is subtle rather than bold and contrasty.
We also have a white version of this shirt…..
