Designer Nic Parnell‘s work explores methods of finding new value in neglected wood by altering its aesthetic and surface. Nic only works with found or reclaimed wood. He also works alongside tree surgeons to source the necessary branches, which would otherwise simply be shredded. His work satisfies our visual desire to repel geometry and structure while engaging with nature in a newly formed intelligence – one that is engineered for visual and sensory engagement.
