The Parkhill location is currently an open-air amphitheater in Bratislava, Slovakia near the city centre and an urban forest. The development will be located on a steep slope, which will help to discourage heavy traffic. The southern part of the site has a small park that will remain as public green space. The hill has nice views of the city and is uniquely located to enjoy a bit of nature as well as a the urban life.
Nice Architects ‘ plan calls for a series of dense buildings with underground parking on the perimeter of the site. The project consists of 60,000 square meters (645,835 square feet) of new development that will house 350 apartments as well as administrative spaces, a hotel, and other public facilities. The proposal balances the need for dense housing and high-quality public spaces. Renderings of the project indicate that it will include green roofs, courtyards, gardens and vertical gardens.
