Created by artist and designer Nicole Dextras [2], the Little Green Dress Projekt [3] is a collection of twenty one gorgeous dresses crafted from finely-woven palms, leaves and berries. Recently displayed at VanDusen Botanical Garden’s [4] Earth Art Exhibition, the intricate, vibrant pieces are made entirely from sustainable materials. Dextras’ work provides a eye-catching commentary on environmentally-conscientious fashion—and unlike the masses of ultimately disposable fashion [5] that ends up in landfill, the Little Green Dresses can be composted [6]!
