Designer Taeg Nishimoto created NightScape, a striking room divider that explores the play of light and shadow through material selection and arrangement. The wooden divider is made up of stacked 2x4s charred and applied with silver leaf. The zigzag formation and rotated pieces allow sunlight to pass through and expose glimpses of silver leaf. “The light and shadow pattern imbedded within the surface of the charred texture, as well as the reflection of light on the silver leafed side, give this free standing object an ever changing presence in space,” says Nishimoto.
