Gallery: Nina Lindgren’s Cardboard Floating City Looks Like a Futuristi...

It is meant to engage the visitors’ imagination.

The art installation, entitled Floating City, has several versions-they are a series of geometric configurations that look like cityscapes and film miniatures. Condensed into tightly-packed shapes, the Floating City is a levitating metropolis made up of dozens of house-shaped cardboard pieces and meant to engage the visitors’ imagination.

The installation may look massive for a gallery piece, but thanks to the fact that it was assembled like puzzles from cardboard panels, the Floating City is extremely light and can be suspended from the ceiling as well as positioned on the ground. The piece is currently exhibited at the Art Rebels Art Gallery in Copenhagen.
