Nissan and Mitsubishi have announced a new joint venture agreement to build a mini car for the Japanese market. The venture has been in the works for a while, as part of an agreement the two corporations signed back in December to increase their collaborative projects, but was officially announced on Friday with additional details.
Both Nissan and Mitsubishi have unique city cars in the works, but we’re hoping the new JV car looks something like the Nissan city car concept shown here. Because the 50-50 mini-car venture is for Japan, one can hope the vehicle would retain some of these futuristic elements.

I believe Nissan is just trying to get there cosumers to think outside the BOX “CUBE” lol, instead of standard designs and boring technology..With The New “I NEED IT NOW YOUTH” you almost have too, dont get me wrong some stuff is wierd…
What is it with Nissan and their blatant disregard to aesthetics? The JUKE, the Cube, and now this.
Youre a real deep thinker. Thanks for shraing.
Thanks alot – your answer solved all my porlbems after several days struggling
I like a lot of the design elements (understanding that this is actually a different car) that have to do with cargo capacity, but I’m not sure why you need 4 doors if there’s no rear seating. Unless the rear seats can come out and just aren’t shown in these photos?
