This is typical of the blinkered Global-Warmers' pseudo-scientific intellect: noting and publicizing events that suit their _a_priori_ conclusions. (Go ahead, get rankled, but if the shoe fits, try reconsidering your premises!) Why has Inhabitat NOT reported the latest findings, of over 2000 years of accurate tree ring data?

Weather varies locally. Changes in one continent are not necessarily matched on others, nor over oceans. E.g. our mild winters have been matched by brutal winters on the Eurasian continent.

Understanding so-called Global Warming means understanding what facts are fundamental and what are derivative details. There are many fundamental facts that negate the claims of the modelers, the temperature station data (known to be falsely selective), and all the supposed, observed, breathlessly reported, consequences of that unproven conclusion.

To learn of the afore-mentioned tree ring data:
"Tree-rings prove climate was WARMER in Roman and Medieval times than it is now - and world has been cooling for 2,000 years"
—Study of semi-fossilised trees gives accurate climate reading back to 138BC
—World was warmer in Roman and Medieval times than it is now
Can be seen at http://bit.ly/P0vD7L

Note that the present global climate is very cool, compared to past geological eras, long before mankind, and the Industrial Revolutin began producing CO2. Thus, we can expect warming (or an ice age). It is also true that atm-CO2 levels are so low that plants would BENEFIT from a doubling, but even 10x as much would do more good than harm. See: http://bit.ly/MkvkFS

There is much more evidence that refutes Anthropogenic Global Warming. Some of the knowledge dates back to before AGW was ever imagined. And, it WAS merely imagined, but was then propped up for the career advancement of 'scientists', politicians, and people who just want to drag down humanity (misanthropists abound).
