We’re happy to report that Nordstrom has begun to embrace organic style. The company is blending in organic cotton into some of their namesake brands while buying new brands that include sustainable fibers. The range cannot be characterized as expansive, but it does include one of our new favorites, Viridis Luxe, whose sustainable cashmere hemp knits are seen above.
Additionally, a quick search of the site for bamboo turns up other items the company has not included on the organic style page, such as the trio of James Perse jersey pieces below. While the variety may be limited and the percentage of organic cotton the store is using may be small, we always feel it is worthwhile to highlight the efforts of any major company that is beginning to make small steps toward being more environmentally responsible.

Bravo! Finally, a more toward more ecofriendly choices for the fashion conscious. The items in this line look stylish; I won’t have to look like I’m wearing a potato sack or going to yoga class. Until now, none of the hemp hippie clothes suited my style. What took real clothes designers so long to find customers like me? More please!
