Team Inhabitat had a great time checking out and manning a booth at the Hester Street Fair last weekend. Through a stroke of amazing luck we actually wound up with the primest real estate in the whole fair; the booth right in front of the entrance – and everyone who came in the door thought we were the official welcoming committee and asked us for directions to other booths! We also sold some T-shirts, onesies, zipper-jewelry from Tara St. James, and spent a lot of time explaining our voltaic solar backpack giveaway (We’re giving away a solar backpack, courtesy of Voltaic, and you can use it to charge cellphones and other small gadgets). This coming weekend we’ll be back at the fair, and our booth will be filled with soft organic Inhabitat t-shirts and baby clothes, awesome handmade eco-jewelry and a fun raffle (for the Voltaic solar bag), so drop in, chat with us and peruse some of the city’s coolest local vendors.
