Gallery: Artists Turn 150,000 Tons of ...
The Lumens fest helps reuse a whole lot of waste.
Some of the brilliant public artwork at the Lumen Festival included Marco Brambilla’s recreation of an expedition to the moon with the ‘Sea of Tranquility,’ and an illuminating installation from Phillip David Stearns. The whole event was curated by Christopher Eamon and seems like a fantastic way to make the most of an unusually mild winter and a whole lot of leftover salt (which can still be reused after the festival is over).
