Back in March, we reported that a sustainable shipping container market will be popping up in Downtown Brooklyn this summer. Now that summer is here, the temporary market is underway and vendors are beginning to plan out their shops. The market organizers hosted ‘The Not Just A Container‘ contest to solicit community ideas for one of the containers, and just last week, BBox Radio was announced as the winner. Led by Donna Zimmerman, the BBox radio crew have won the chance to transform a shipping container at the Dekalb Market into a Brooklyn-centric community radio station.
