BKLYN Designs Brings the Best Brooklyn-Grown Green Furniture to ICFF

Leave it to Brooklynites to make chicken-keeping trendy. Case in point: this modern solar-powered hen house [10] by Raad [11].

We’re glad we looked up for a change because otherwise we never would have seen this elegant bamboo lamp by Pickett [12] featuring a pentagram shaped base.

Brian Volk-Zimmerman, the designer behind Volk [13] handmade furniture uses reclaimed organ knobs as drawer pulls on his custom made chests and lines them with leftover cloth from his girlfriend’s fashion job.

Think beetle-eaten barn wood is worthy of the trash heap? Hooker and Co. [14] doesn’t. We checked out their really cool, and surprisingly beautiful table made from reclaimed (formerly) bug-infested wood.
