Buy One Voltaic Emergency Solar Power Kit and Give One to a Hurricane Sandy Survivor
Posted By Yuka Yoneda On November 9, 2012 @ 10:49 am In Uncategorized | No Comments
We’ve long been fans of Voltaic [4], a company that makes gadget-charging solar power kits [4], but the importance and practicality of these products became especially evident when Hurricane Sandy knocked out our power. Now Voltaic, which was also shut down by the flooding and blackout in NYC, is hoping to help people that were affected by the disaster with a new BOGO – buy one, get one – initiative [4]. They’re offering their emergency power kit at a discounted price (where they make no profit), and for every kit purchased, another will be donated directly to those in need [4]. Each useful kit includes a 3.4 watt solar panel, an 11-watt hour battery, an extension cord to connect the panel and the battery, a USB light and a set of phone adapters.
